ABOUT
CaribShare, in collaboration with the Center for Responsible Travel (CREST), introduces Jamaica’s first-ever Food Waste Management Conference exclusively for the hotel sector!
Exploring "Food Waste Management as a Viable Community-based Sustainability Solution in the COVID-19 Adaptation and Recovery Era", this highly-anticipated event tackled issues of food waste reduction and recycling, and provided practical guidance to hoteliers on how to implement the business case for managing their food waste holistically to achieve a positive impact on their bottom lines. The forum featured real case successes, technology demos, and onsite experiences to facilitate knowledge sharing and learning among hotel and tourism industry practitioners to create and close the sustainability loop.
Headliners included international guest speakers from World Wildlife Fund (WWF-US), Hilton Worldwide, and the Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort Aruba (the Caribbean’s only LEED® Silver and certified CarbonNeutral® hotel).
